Sexual health lecture

As in many countries, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unwanted pregnancies are a concern in Estonia, and they stem largely from young people not knowing enough. The situation has improved over the years, but that is no reason to rest: STIs are spreading again in Europe, and keeping sexual education good helps prevent a return to the situation of a couple of decades ago.

The Estonian Medical Students’ Association has been giving sexual health seminars since 1998, so there is a great deal of experience behind them. We use engaging interactive methods to keep students involved — nobody gets bored.

The seminar is led by two young lecturers who have completed thorough training following the recommendations of the Estonian Sexual Health Association. Our lecturers can stay neutral on any topic and answer even the most sensitive questions. The seminars suit students in years 7–12, but topics can always be combined so that younger or older students find them interesting too.
